Rani was my first PhD student. She successfully defended her thesis "Computational approach to identify deletions or
duplications within a gene" in 2006. After her graduate work at Iowa, she transitioned to a successful PostDoc with Dr. Richard Weinshilboum at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. She is now an Assistant Professor in Biomedical Informatics at the Mayo Clinic.
